The three ways to hire a designer.
A consultation. A designer walks the house with you and talks through goals, budget and timeline. Ours is about an hour, in your home or virtual depending on the project, and we walk you through it on the free 15 minute call.
A focused design session. Decisions made in the room: layout, finishes, colors and a visual of the finished room. For most people it's the best value in design. Our Design Strategy starts at $999 per room and includes a layout, selections, a mood board, a 3D rendering, a 30 minute review call and a final visit with samples.
Full service. The designer plans, selects and orders, and checks in at key points of the job. It's priced by the project, by the hour or as a percentage of what you spend. Ours is quoted from your approved Design Strategy, so you know the number before anything is ordered.

- Number of rooms. A primary bath and a whole-home remodel are different jobs.
- New build or remodel. New builds have more selections, due on the builder's schedule.
- Custom work. Built-ins, millwork and custom upholstery add design time.
- Who manages the contractor. If the designer is the point of contact, that is time.
Where lake homes spend differently.
Lake houses get used hard: west-facing glass, wet feet, sunscreen and a full house on weekends. Spend on performance fabrics, honed stone and good window treatments. Save on accessories and trend pieces you will swap in three years anyway.
